I have a valid NJ drivers license and I want to buy a Tomos Targa moped (49cc). I have to register it as a moped because I dont have a motorcycle license. My issue is that the NJDMV website states that in order to be considered a "Moped" it has to have a top-speed of no more than 25mph but EVERY moped i look at has a top-speed of like 30 mph (even though they are 49cc). Has anyone registered a 49cc Tomas moped in New Jersey as a moped? Also, I asked the guy at the dealership and he said that all of his mopeds are "Legal mopeds" but Im just worried that I wont be able to register it as a moped... car insurance. Mitsubishi . How to Change a 2006 Subaru Forester's Transmission FluidSubaru Foresters are compact, lightweight, small SUVs. They are great for driving in nasty weather and snow. The Subaru originated in Japan and is now made throughout the world. It is an all-wheel-drive vehicle, otherwise known as a four-wheel drive vehicle. Transmission fluids need to be changed, because over time, the transmission fluid can become "worn out" or broken down, and they won't be able to lubricate the engine the way it should be to keep the vehicle running smoothly. Difficulty:Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Large pan Several shop towels or rags Oil filter wrench Several different sized wrenches Socket wrench with an extension Oil filter Safety stands 70W-90-GL5 transmission fluid Long funnel Step by Step : 1 Prop the car up on the safety stands. 2 Put the large pan under the transmission. 3 Remove the drain plug from the transmission pan with the socket wrench. Be careful not to lose the copper seal. 4 Let the transmission fluid drain. 5 Raise the rear level of the car to be almost level with the front end to drain all of the transmission fluid possible. 6 Clean the build up off of the drain plug with a clean shop rag. Repeat with clean shop rags as needed. 7 Put the back of the car back down after all fluid has been drained. 8 Loosen the oil filter and let it drain into the pan. Clean the gasket surface while the oil is draining with clean shop rags. Replace the oil filter and tighten back to the transmission. 9 Put the drain pan plug and the copper seal back in to the transmission. Step by Step : 10 Tighten the drain plug to 33 pounds so it does not leak. Be careful not to over-torque the plug because they will strip easy. Step by Step : 11 Lower the car back to the ground and open the hood. Find the transmission fluid filler. Step by Step : 12 Put a long funnel into the transmission fluid filler, and pour in 3 ¾ quarts of transmission fluid. Step by Step : 13 Run the car for 10 minutes and check the transmission fluid. Add more if needed. Tips & Warnings Do not attempt to perform this procedure if you have no automobile experience or the proper tools. To do so can result in serious injury and even death.
Mitsubishi . How Do I Care for My 1996 Hyundai Accent Transmission Fluid?Hyundai is a popular car brand name. They make many different styles of cars, including sedans, compact cars and crossover cars. Just like any other car on the market, these cars have transmissions. Transmissions require fluid to make the car run. Taking care of the fluid means taking care of the transmission itself. This is just one part of taking care of your Hyundai, so make sure you refer to the owners manual for further instructions on the care of your car. Maintenance to your car includes tire changes and rotations, checking the fluids, changing and/or refilling fluids, spark plugs, wires, and washing the car inside and out. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Transmission fluid Step by Step : 1 Check the transmission fluid on a regular basis. Once a month is enough if your car is in decent working condition. You can check the fluid with the dipstick. Take the stick out of the holder, wipe it clean with a lint free cloth, and insert the stick again. Pull the stick out and make sure the level of transmission fluid on the stick is within the recommended range. Make sure the engine is warm before checking the fluid. 2 Change the transmission fluid if it is brown in color instead of red. The red color looks almost like a rust, but a little bit lighter. 3 Refill the transmission fluid if it is a bit low. You can buy containers of transmission fluid in quart sizes or larger from any auto parts store or general goods stores. 4 Change the transmission fluid every 30,000 to 50,000 miles whether it is clean or not. This will take the tired and worn out transmission fluid out of your car, replace it with new fluid and give your car a better performance on the road. 5 Choose the transmission fluid recommended by your manufacturer for optimal performance. Hyundai is one of the few cars that can go universal with transmission fluid. So you can use pretty much any transmission fluid in this car. 6 Store leftover transmission fluid in a cool and dry area up high on a shelf. Tips & Warnings Wear ratty or old clothes when dealing with cars. Grease and oil can get all over your clothes and ruin them. For your Hyundai you want to choose a dependable brand of transmission fluid for optimal performance. GM products are typically used. Transmission fluid is toxic. Do not store where children and household pets can get into it. The internal combustion engine, which still forms the "heart" of most vehicles, is a lightweight, fairly efficient, and relatively uncomplicated piece of machinery. It works on a mixture of gasoline and air to produce enough power to turn a shaft that turns the wheels.
